Chapter 8

     After Tris kick some butt in firearms and hand to hand combat training the initiates are allowed to do their own thing for a while, something Tris was never allowed to do. Christina takes her to get a new look, because her Abnegation clothes were really fetch, and she should stop trying to make fetch happen. Just joking, though Christina does say that they're, "ugly and gigantic." Tris feels like a new person after getting a Dauntless makeover. I can relate, as it always makes you feel good to get a haircut or a new pair of shoes. They head over to the tattoo parlor, where Tris and Tori are reunited. Tris expresses some reluctance at getting a tattoo, but decides to get three birds, each one representing a family member she left behind.
